Not advice, not moralistic judgment, not bad indy music—this is a blog for suicidal people and the people who love them to discuss the humanistic issues and concerns related to the illness. There are many experiential issues discussed in recovery groups across the globe that seem to never get any consideration in the published literature. It’s a shame, because these are often the most important and the most difficult issues to understand. Understanding issues that affect us as humans, not just as patients, has the potential to create real dialogue between suffering patients and the victims they might one day leave behind. I believe deep down in my heart that communication is one of the best tools for getting beyond suicide.
