A Change Gonna Come
Sam Cooke’s old song “A Change Gonna Come” is about the hopefulness of a Black American despite the sorrowful life available to him. I find the words are applicable to any situation in which a person must find hope in a better future despite all evidence to the contrary.

I’m still doing partial hospitalization. I might be getting out on Friday, but I don’t know yet. Always afraid.

It’s Kim from your partial group. I’m afraid too; in fact, I’m petrified. I’ll be in partial till Friday, then it’s off to ECT for me. I don’t know what else to do.
I’m always “ideating,” but this weekend has been the worst in a while. I feel like if I could go to partial forever, I might get by – but, of course, we know that’s not an option. Sooner or later I’ll be set free to run amuck.
I hope your weekend is going better than mine.
